C. Dian Hurley
Cornelia Dian Hurley, 79, of Bridgeport, went to join her Lord on April 25, 2008, after her very courageous battle with cancer.
Dian was born in Ansonia, OH, on February 24, 1929, the only child of the late Walter F. and Cornie Gaines Gantz.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph D. Hurley, and two sons, Mark Steven Hurley and Matthew Walter Hurley.
Dian is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Daniel Crimm, Bridgeport, and one son Ronald Hurley from Buckhannon. She also has six grandchildren, Michael Hurley and his wife Wanda from Prineville, OR; Luke Crimm and Zachary Crimm both of Bridgeport; Corey Hurley, Danielle Hurley and Shane Hurley, all of Clarksburg. Dian also has three great-grandchildren, Mark Hurley, Kimberly Hurley and Melissa Hurley all of Prineville, OR. She is also survived by many dear friends and her little dog, Sadie.
Dian was an avid crafter and was a founding member of WV Mountain Products in Quiet Dell. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Clarksburg where she served as a deacon. She was a longtime member of the Woman’s Club of Bridgeport, where she served as Arts Chairman for several years. Dian graduated from Washington-Irving High School and was still very involved with her remaining class members of 1946 and 1947.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport, on Sunday, April 28, 2008, from 2 – 8 pm, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 pm with Reverend Darrell Pierce and Reverend Del Parris presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Quiet Dell.
