Obituary for Dominick Oliverio

Dominick Oliverio Dominick Oliverio, 82, of Anmoore, passed away Wednesday morning, June 4, 2008, in United Hospital Center. He was born in Clarksburg on May 6, 1926, a son of the late Tony and Daisy Oliverio. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Courtney Oliverio, whom he married February 8, 1969. Also surviving are two sons, Russ Shreves and his wife Joyce of Wichita, KS; and Gerry Shreves and his wife Sue of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Amanda, Micky and Mary; two great-grandchildren, Abby and Dominick; two brothers, John Oliverio and his wife Mildred of Clarksburg; and Robert Oliverio and his wife Lona of Garden City, MI; two sisters, Mary Hazey and Josephine Oliverio, both of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews. Dominick was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete, Sam and Frank Oliverio, and three sisters, Constance Carvelli, Rose Minard and Agnes Minard. Dominick was a graduate of R-W High School and served in the United States Army in Germany during World War II. He was a crane operator for Union Carbide Corporation for 25 years before retiring in 1986. His hobby was working and providing for his family. He was talented in carpentry and could do almost anything. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dom’s memory may be made to Clarksburg Mission, P.O. Box 1123, Clarksburg, WV 26302 Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Ave., Bridgeport on Saturday from 6 to 8 PM and on Sunday from 12 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Frank Shreve presiding. Interment will follow at Bridgeport Cemetery. Burnside Funeral Home, Bridgeport
