Condolence: Ellis was a close childhood friend of my brother (his classmate), Paul "Bunky" Sprouse As a teen, he used to come to our house all the time - and we always knew when he arrived! He never made a quiet entrance. Just walked right in like family. I remember him as funny, happy, and always smiling. I may be wrong, but he possibly sang in a quartet with my brother and others (Frank Shipley?). "Blue Christmas" and "Silver Bells" were two songs they sang, with my mother accompanying them on piano. Ironically, my brother passed two months after Ellis. I was sorry to learn of Ellis' tragic death. My deepest sympathy to the family.
