Obituary for Charles R. Tascarella

Charles R. Tascarella, 63, a resident of Bridgeport, and formerly of Ridge and Smithtown, NY, passed away suddenly April 17, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born in Lynbrook, NY, a son of Marion (Lange) Tascarella of Smithtown, NY and the late Vincent J. Tascarella.

He worked for Northrop Grumman for over 25 years. Chuck was a talented musician that loved music and playing his drums. He played for numerous bands for decades which included working with his son, an avid guitar player. He also was a carpenter and enjoyed working on numerous projects including designing and making drums and mixing music.

He was a devoted father and loved his family. He always had a smile on his face and always knew how to make people laugh. Surviving, besides his mother, are four daughters, Cybill Tascarella of East Brunswick, NJ; Sheena(Caleb) Richards of Bridgeport, WV: Tracey (Travis) Stout of Mount Clare, WV ; Mikelle (Johnny) Colaneri of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ ; a son, Scott Tascarella of Bridgeport, WV; four brothers, Vincent (Lupita) Tascarella of Tucson, AZ; Brian (Donita) Tascarella of Minnesota; Ronald (Cynthia) Tascarella, of Oswego, NY; David (Susan) Tascarella, of Rocky Point; three sisters, Lillian (George) Vitarelli of Livonia, Michigan; Marian (Douglas) Casper of Plainview, NY; Priscilla (David) Conroy of Farmingville; 4 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at Clayton Funeral Home on April 24th from 2 to 4:30 and 7 to 9, located at 25 Meadow Rd. Kings Park, NY 11754. Funeral services will be at 9:30 Friday, at St Josephs Church in Kings Park followed be a burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Smithtown.

Burnside Funeral Home, Bridgeport, is assisting the Tascarella Family with the local arrangements.
