Obituary for Mabel V. Greynolds (Whitehair)

Mabel V. Whitehair Greynolds, 78, of Anmoore, passed away Thursday evening, November 6, 2014, at United Hospital Center. She was born in Buckhannon on October 8, 1936, a daughter of the late Cecil Andrew and Ella Mae (Warner) Poundstone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garold “Bud” Ross Greynolds, Jr., on January 13, 2014.
Surviving are three daughters, Ginger Whitehair Sawyer, Summit Park; Pauletta “Tootsie” Cox, East View; and Ruby Ramsey and her husband Carl, Summit Park; six grandchildren, Ev Sawyer, Paul Sawyer, Chris Prescott, Adam Cox, Jacob Cox, and Carl Ramsey; and eight great-grandchildren, Danika, Preslee, Tre, Trystan, Preston, Halle, Bella, and Nehemiah.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Ramsey, a brother Roy Whitehair; and the father of her children and who raised them, Paul Whitehair.
Mabel had previously worked at Crowley News Company, and cleaned houses and considered herself a “domestic engineer.” She had attended Liberty in Christ Church. She loved her three Chihuahuas, and was a great cook. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, especially her grandson, Adam Cox.
A celebration of Mabel’s life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Liberty in Christ Church, Rt. 58, Clarksburg, with Pastor Mike Westfall presiding. Mabel will be buried at WV National Cemetery.
