Obituary for Paul Wayne Hall

Paul Wayne Hall, 81, of Bridgeport, passed Tuesday morning, February 24, 2015, in the United Hospital Center. He was born in Grafton on April 10, 1933, the only child of the late Earl Wayne Hall and Eula Grey Hughes Hall.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret (Landes) Hall.
Also surviving are three children, David Glenn Hall and his wife Mary, Greensboro, NC; Iris Lynn Hall, Glens Falls, NY; and Brian Alan Hall and his wife Kelly, Bridgeport; seven grandchildren, Seth Hall, Alysha Piper, Tessa Hall, Ashley Youngblood, Adam Liller, Mariah Hall and Noah Hall; and seven great-grandchildren, Wyatt Rowe Piper, Oliver Preston Hall, Nathaniel Youngblood, Tucker Youngblood, “Lilly” Liller, Hunter Liller, and Ayden Liller.
Paul served in the US Navy during the Korean War, and he had retired as a substation foreman from Monongahela Power with 39 years of service. He was a member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church for over 60 years, and had also served as a deacon. He also had been active with Boy Scouts Troop 40, Bridgeport.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fly fishing, hunting, fishing trips to Canada, and backpacking.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2 – 8 p.m. on Thursday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015, with Reverend Dr. C. Michael Hopkins and Reverend Jim Lang presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
