Obituary for Betty Lee Childers (Moodispaugh)

Betty Lee Childers, 83, of Stonewood, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015. She was born in Clarksburg on February 27, 1932, a daughter of the late James Elton and Minnie Mildred (Boyce) Moodispaugh.
On October 19, 1957, she married Jim C. Childers, who preceded her in death on December 13, 2007.
She is survived by her sister, Reta Moodispaugh, and several cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Page Westfall.
Betty was a graduate of R-W High School. She had worked for G.C. Murphy Company and retired from the Exponent-Telegram, having worked in the Classified Advertising Department with over 25 years of service. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday from 6 – 8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, with Reverend Richard Settles presiding. Interment will follow in Stonewall Park Cemetery.
