Obituary for Connie Jo McCue (Cochran)

Connie Jo McCue, 70, of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2015, in The Heritage. She was born August 20, 1944, in Du Quoin, IL, a daughter of the late James and Laura (Sitz) Cochran.
She is survived by four children, Tammy A. Riley, Bridgeport; James Thomas Hamilton and his wife Karen, Zion, IL; Laura M. Dunn and her husband Robert, Newport, Oregon; Elizabeth Murray and her husband Alex, Fayetteville, NC; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. A brother, Guy Cochran and his wife Judy, Cedar Lake, IN; and two sisters, Nancy Williams and her husband John, Streamwood, IL; and Janet Ruf, Elgin, IL; and several nieces and nephews complete her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Riley, and a brother, Allan Smith.
Connie was a licensed cosmetologist for many years, and had worked at the Heritage in the housekeeping department. She loved reading, working crosswords and watching Jeopardy. She was Baptist.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m, followed by a graveside service at Bridgeport Cemetery.
