Obituary for Michelle Ann Phillips

Michelle Ann Phillips, 35, of Bridgeport, passed away at her residence on April 11, 2015. She was born December 28, 1979 in Atlanta GA, a daughter of Thomas Phillips, Sr. and Laura Burdette Phillips also of Bridgeport, formerly of Atlanta, GA.
In addition to her parents she was also survived by her brother Thomas Phillips, Jr. also of Bridgeport; Aunts and Uncles, Donna Gentes and her husband Lee, Barbara Thompson and her husband Jeff, James O. Burdette, Jr., Melanie Nittolo, Angela Rakestraw, James Philip, and John Phillips; cousins, Joshua Gentes, Rachel Guess, David Gentes, Sharon Breach, Brian Thompson, Victoria Nittolo, Christopher Nittolo, Nick Nittolo, Anthony Nittolo, Steven Rakestraw, Matthew Rakestraw, Lauren Rakestraw, John Phillips, Jr., and Mike Phillips.
Ms. Phillips was a graduate of Eagles Landing High School and a graduate of Clayton State University and attended WVU. She also attended All Saints Catholic Church as well as Simpson Creek Baptist Church. She worked with Cancer Ministry at Egelston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA and also worked for Delta Airlines where she participated in miles giveaway to allow others to use for their times of loss. She loved animals especially her two pet Yorkies, Muffin and Lady and her African Grey Parrot, Tuco. She was a loving daughter and sister who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She had a loving heart and was involved in many charitable organizations.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 am, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am with Reverend Dr. C. Michael Hopkins presiding.
