Obituary for Darrell Thomas Riley
Darrell Thomas Riley, 66, of Shinnston, passed away Saturday morning, July 11, 2015, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Clarksburg on February 23, 1949, a son of the late Charles William and Mary Gladys Kline Riley.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary (Bosley) Riley, whom he married October 15, 1971.
Also surviving are his daughter, Velta Kennedy and her husband Paul, Bridgeport; his daughter-in-law, Kelly Myers, Satellite Beach, FL; four granddaughters, Maliyana Riley Myers, and Katlyn, Feona, and Sariah Kennedy; and a brother, Gary Riley and his wife Kris, Alpharetta, GA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Thomas Riley, II; and a brother, Charles William Riley.
Tom retired as a supervisor after 30 years of service with the WV State Tax Department. He had also worked for the US Census Bureau for several years, and briefly at Mt. State Auto Auction. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 1966, and of Fairmont State College with a Business Degree.
He attended Living Water Church, Bridgeport, and he cherished the time he spent with his family.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
