Obituary for Karen Jane Maness (Weaver)
Karen Jane Weaver Maness, 61, of Venice, FL,passed away at her home on July 18th, 2015. She was born on October 19th, 1953 in Alexandria, VA, and was the daughter of Bernard Weaver and Ruth Turner Weaver. She was a dedicated employee of a successful physical therapy practice where she was appreciated for her honesty and drive for perfection.
Karen enjoyed donating her time and money to the local soup kitchens, animal causes, or any friend in need. Her family believes that when someone passes, their life doesn’t end but rather changes. Her family also knows that she has reached a place of everlasting love and peace alongside Jesus Christ.
While her family grieves her passing, with their grief, comes the lightness of hope. Karen leaves behind her two sons, Steven and Matthew Maness, Aunt Barbara and Uncle Steve Weaver, and countless other loving family members and friends. All of her family and friends will always remember the unconditional love and compassion she had and will carry that legacy through their lives forever.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm with Reverend Jim Lang presiding. Interment will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport. In addition, a memorial service will be held at a later date in Venice, Florida.
