Obituary for Clay M. Jackson

Clay M. Jackson, 87, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 26, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wetzel County on October 22, 1927, the son of the late Harry and Bonnie Jane Hudson Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Spitznogle Jackson, on December 1, 2008.

He is survived by two daughters, Penny Cunningham and her husband Richard, Atlanta, Georgia; and Terry Wagner and her husband Lee, Bridgeport; his son, Allen Jackson and his wife Lilly, Jane Lew; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tom Ice, Chub Run Road.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Osborn, and a grandson, Robbie Cunningham.

Clay retired as an accountant from CNG in 1987 after 42 years of service. He served in the US Army and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Bridgeport Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions in Clay’s memory are encouraged to be made to Harrison County Humane Society, P.O. Box 4397, Clarksburg, WV 26302.

At his request, private services will be held with the family and interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
