Obituary for Esther Marano

Esther Beech Marano, 100 years young, passed away at United Hospital Center on August 13, 2015 with her family by her side.
Esther was preceded in death by the love of her life, John, whom she married at the age of 16 in 1932; her sister, Margaret; her brothers, Joseph and Bert; great-grandson, Christopher Fowler and son-in-law, Johnie Helmick.
She is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by her children Dominick (Mona), Rose “Dolly” Helmick, and Margaret Jean (Faris) Coffindaffer; grandchildren Tim (Teresa) Coffindaffer, John Marano, John Todd (Tammy) Coffindaffer, Cathy (Michael) Andria, Anne (David) Lumley and Diann (Ricky) Fowler; great-grandchildren Mikah (Adam) Wilson, Kari (Ben) Carpenter, Brent Coffindaffer, Jonathan Fowler, Emily Coffindaffer, Zachary Marano, Sean Coffindaffer, and Rory Lumley; great-great granddaughter Avery Wilson and sister-in-law, Kathryn Perri Beech. Many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much also survive her.
Esther was born in Wendel, WV on July 2nd, 1915, a daughter of Bertlan Beech, Sr and Esther Virag Beech. After marrying, she and John made their first home in Dawmont, WV. It was there she developed a love of cooking and baking for her family and friends. “Nanie,” as her grandchildren affectionately knew her, served a spaghetti dinner with fresh baked bread every Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Lung Association.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 1-8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 am with Reverend Dr. Ken Ramsey presiding. Interment will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport.
