Mary  Shahan (McDonald)
Mary Shahan, 79, of Meadland Road, Bridgeport, passed away Monday morning, August 31, 2015, in the United Hospital Center. She was born in Flemington on November 8, 1935, a daughter of the late Harry F. McDonald and Lela Luella Williamson McDonald.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Shahan, whom she married in 1960.
Also surviving are her daughter, Christina Murdock, Shelby Township, MI; three grandsons, James Owens and his wife Amanda, Clinton Township, MI; Kurtis Owens, Rochester, MI; and Keiran Shahan, Biscoe, NC; a great-granddaughter, Abigale Owens; two sisters, Margaret Green, Saline, MI, and Catherine McGill and her husband Robert, Bridgeport; and a brother, Charles McDonald, Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lee Shahan; a brother, Ray McDonald, and a sister, Delores Norman.
Mary was a graduate of Grafton High School. She worked as a meat packer in the meat department of Farmer Jacks for over 14 years, retiring in 1985. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and then framing them to make pictures. She also enjoyed sewing.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015. Interment will follow in Hepzibah Cemetery.
