Obituary for Gregory Alan Arnold

Gregory Alan Arnold, 67, of Bridgeport, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015, at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. He was born in Clarksburg on January 25, 1948, a son of the late Cletus G. and Mary N. (Maschal) Arnold.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie L. (Bohrer) Arnold, whom he married October 30, 1976.
Also surviving are his step-children, Lawrence Hall & his wife Doris, Wheeling; Tammy Wood and her husband Glenn, Wileyville; April Stutler and her husband Jody, Clarksburg; Robert Hall and his wife Jennifer, Waynesburg, PA; nine step-grandchildren, Landon and Logan Hall; Parker Wood; CeeJae Wykert; Kelsey Wood; Cheyenne Stutler; Dakota Stutler; Joseph Hall and Tara Hall; seven step-great-grandchildren, Hayden Wood, Blake Wood, Harlie Wykert, Austin Wykert; Kholton Stemple; Robert J. “RJ” Wood, and Kingsleigh Stutler. A sister, Rhoda L. Ashbaugh and her husband Brian, Pittsburgh, PA; and two nieces, Lauren and Kirsten, complete his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Gordon Wayne “Sam” Arnold.
Greg was a graduate of R-W High School. He served in the US Air Force from August 1967 through April 20, 1973, where he attained the rank of Sergeant. He was a retired electrician with IBEW Local 596 with over 26 years of service. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, drag racing and riding motorcycles. He loved his family, especially his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Friday, September 11, 2015, from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon, where services will be held at 12 Noon with Ross Frame presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens where Military Funeral Honors will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard and Wright-Patterson Air Force Honor Guard.
