Obituary for Elizabeth Gene "Betty" Leuliette

Betty Leuliette, 90, of Bridgeport, passed away Monday afternoon, October 5, 2015. She was born in Park View Community, Grafton, on November 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Eugene and Georgia (Duckworth) McWilliams.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Leuliette, on January 22, 1992.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Sue Eye and her husband Charles, Bruceton Mills; and her son, Joseph E. Leuliette and his companion Debra Kerr of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Joseph A. Leuliette and his wife Kendra of Bridgeport, Beth Leuliette and her companion Joshua Shuttleworth of Meadland community and Jayden Donald Leuliette of Bridgeport; and one great granddaughter, Genevieve Anne Leuliette. .
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by an infant daughter, Sarah Elizabeth; one brother, James “Sonny” McWilliams and her sister-in-law Evelyn McWilliams.
Betty graduated from Grafton High School class of 1942 and she attended Fairmont State College where she was studying in the Army Nursing program. She retired in 1984 from Anchor-Hocking as a glass inspector after 35 years of service. Betty attended the Church of Christ in Meadowbrook and she was active in the Women’s Club and enjoyed working crafts and being a seamstress. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to People’s Hospice, 327 Medical Park Drive, Bridgeport WV 26330.
The family would also like to thank the nurses at Genesis Salem Center for their care and loving devotion over the last 6 years in caring for Betty.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 2 – 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015. Interment will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Webster, Taylor County.
