Obituary for Robert Lee Kerby III

Robert L. Kerby, III, 30, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015, at his home in Dormont, PA. He was born in Clarksburg on August 30, 1985, a son of Mark and Lesa Gray, Bridgeport, and the late Robert “Chip” Kerby, II.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Mark Gray, II, Michael Gray, and Justin Kerby. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Robert graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2003. He had been most recently attending the University of Pittsburgh while working at the Veteran’s Association Hospital. He also attended Fairmont State University as well as Butler Community College.
Robert joined the United State Air Force Reserves initially after high school. He served four years including one tour in Afghanistan.
He was an avid reader with an interest in international business, and enjoyed watching movies. He had a love for animals, especially for his parrot, George. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday, where Catholic Funeral Rites will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2015 with Father Chris Turner presiding. Interment will follow in WV National Cemetery, where Military Funeral Honors will be accorded.
