Ricky G.  Nicholson
Ricky G. Nicholson, 57, of Quiet Dell, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born May 20, 1958 in Clarksburg, the son of Patricia “Patty” Stout Nicholson of Quiet Dell and the late Gayle Nicholson, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Debora Lynn Marks Nicholson whom he married on June 23, 1984.
He is also survived by his son, Jason Nicholson of Quiet Dell; his sister, Connie Thomas and her husband Robert of Bridgeport; his niece Casey King and her husband Adam of Bridgeport and their children, Brooks and Cooper; his niece Amy Thomas Paul of Bridgeport and her son Bryson; his beloved four dogs, Abby, Maddie, Lexi and Zoey; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Karen Marks of Bridgeport; his sister-in-law Angie Davis and his niece April Davis; his favorite hunting and fishing buddies: Greg Knight, Greg Emlinger and Donald Knight; his Aunt Earlene “Sis” Emlinger of Oregon, OH; his uncles, Oran Stout, New Hartford NY, and Orlene “Bud” Stout of Decauter, TN
Mr. Nicholson was a member of the WV Laborers’ Union. He worked for Marks Construction and was later employed by the WV Department of Highways, Lost Creek, as a Highway Supervisor and operator. He also attended Bridgeport United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106, or the Harrison County Humane Society, P.O. Box 4397, Clarksburg, WV 26302.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Thursday from 2-8 p.m., where services will be conducted on Friday, January 15, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Ken Ramsey presiding. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
