Obituary for David Edward Jones

David Edward Jones, 32, of Salem, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 13, 2016. He was born March 24, 1983, in Clarksburg the son of David and June Jones of Pullman, WV.
He married Holly Renee Farris on May 26, 2007, and they have one son, Austin Gage, who is 7 years old.
David was a 2002 graduate of Doddridge County High School and he worked as a supervisor for Job Squad Incorporated for twelve and a half years and also part-time at Tractor Supply for the last two years.
He is also survived by one brother, Josh Jones and his wife Amber of Simpson; two sisters, Jessica Jones and Danielle Jones of Pullman, WV and his grandfather Clarence Halter of Minerva, OH; his father and mother-in-law Willie and Debbie Farris, Bridgeport; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leslie Ray “Rube” Jones, Myrtle Alice Boyce Jones and Geraldine Halter.
He enjoyed spending time with Austin playing games, riding their horse, coon hunting and going to Marshville Trading Day. David also enjoyed his coon dogs and rabbit dogs and deer hunting, fishing, working on his farm and going to Doddridge County football games with his family. He was willing to help anyone who asked him.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Thursday from 1 - 8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016, with Reverend Alan Rosenberger presiding. Interment will follow in Hepzibah Cemetery, Taylor County.
