Obituary for Jack D. Crouse

Jack D.  Crouse
Jack D. Crouse, 77, of Bridgeport, passed away Friday morning, July 8, 2016. He was born in Rosemont on November 1, 1938, a son of the late Jay and Velma Sayres Crouse.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalind “Bobbie” Crouse.
Also surviving are his daughter, Kim Martin and her husband Mike, Bridgeport; and son, Jack Crouse Jr. and his wife Sally, Leesburg, VA; his six grandchildren, Michael Martin and his wife Sarah; Matt Martin and his wife Adriane; Molly Martin Butler and her husband Dave; Patrick Martin; Taylor Crouse; and Zachary Crouse; three great-grandchildren, Aryanna Martin, Maddox Martin, and Jack Butler, his namesake; and a brother, Eddie Crouse and his wife Patty, College Park, MD.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Paul Eugene and Betty Crouse.
Jack was a 1957 graduate of Flemington High School. He started the CATV Division for the Midwest Corporation. He had started his career as a shipping clerk and worked his way up to Vice-President of Midwest Corporation and sales manager of Telewire Corp. He was a member of Bailey Town United Methodist Church, Rosemont, and the Masonic Lodge, Flemington. He was an avid WVU football and basketball fan. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and talking about the “old days” with them.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2016, with Pastor Jerome Lewis presiding. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
