Obituary for Patricia Marie Snarr (Conroy)

Patricia Marie Conroy Snarr, 85, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Gloucester City, NJ, on November 27, 1930, a daughter of the late James John and Anna Marie (Gwinn) Conroy.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, R. William Snarr, Sr., whom she married November 24, 1951.

Also surviving are two sons, R. William Snarr, Jr. and his wife Janet Clara, Warrington, PA; and Joseph Scott Snarr, Bridgeport; a granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Snarr; a brother, James John Conroy, Jr., Manassas, VA; and two sisters, Marie Murphy, Gloucester City, NJ; and Theresa Schmincke, Lancaster, PA; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Horan.

Patricia attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Gloucester, NJ, and was affiliated with Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Clarksburg.

A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at Immaculate Conception Church, Clarksburg, with Father Chris Turner as Celebrant and interment was held in WV National Cemetery.
