Shawna Marie Elder Hardman, 35, of Anmoore, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at her residence. She was born in Clarksburg on July 1, 1981, a daughter of Timothy J. Elder and his wife Wendy, who survive in Clarksburg, and the late Donna D. Coffman Elder.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Eddie Hardman, whom she married October 17, 2009.
She is also survived by a step-son, David “Davie” Hardman and his fiance Elisha Fleeman, Farmington; and step-daughter Dwanedia Jacobs and her husband Jeremy, NC; her step-sister, Amanda Elder, Clarksburg; maternal grandmother, Mary “Mamie” Coffman, Anmoore; Paternal grandparents, Michael “Pat” Elder, Clarksburg; and Lorin “Skip” Elder and his wife Linda, Hundred; her god child whom she adored, Paisley Grace Deaton, Anmoore; her mother-in-law, Mary Hardman and her companion Randy Critchfield, Anmoore; step-mother-in-law, Paula Hardman, Clarksburg; brothers-in-law, Michael Hardman, FL; and Scott Critchfield and his fiancé Marla Richardson, Anmoore; aunts and uncles, Karen Coffman, Clarksburg; Fred “Bud” Coffman and wife Ronja, Brushy Fork; Barbara and David Allen, both of Anmoore; Patty and Micheal Brosius; Michael Lee Elder, Kimberly Elder, all of Clarksburg; Aimee and Michael Cummings of Hundred; and many extended loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Fred Coffman; her paternal grandmother, Joyce Mae Elder; her step-son, Codey Hardman; father-in-law, Paul Hardman; and brother-in-law, Rodney Hardman.
Shawna graduated from RCB High School where she was an All-State Softball player. She attended Fairmont State University and Fred Eberle School of Practical Nursing where she became a registered LPN. She had previously worked at the Arbors, Community Care, and Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was the Assistant Chief and EMT of Anmoore Fire Department with over 16 years of service. She enjoyed driving in demolition derbies, was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and loved kids. She gave her service to her community of Anmoore, and was then overwhelmed with the support the community showed her after she received her liver transplant on June 6, 2013, giving her a 2nd chance at life after her Aunt Barbara Elder Allen became a living donor.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, where services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Lions Club Cemetery, Wallace.
