Betty June Lewis, 90, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Clarksburg. She was born December 26, 1926 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Lynn McClung and Minnie Violet Palmer McClung.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Max Lewis who passed away in December of 1976.
She is survived by one son Charles Lewis of Bridgeport and two grandchildren, Dylan Lewis and his fiancée Brandi McBee of Bridgeport and Bernadette Lewis of Washington, PA; two nephews, Mike and David McClung.
She was preceded in death by her three daughters, Kathy, Terry and Jane Lewis and two twin infant sons; and a brother Donald McClung.
She was a graduate of Bridgeport High School class of 1946. She was an accomplished oil paint artist who enjoyed painting scenery, portraits and murals. She loved to cook for her family and always enjoyed a good meal with her friends and family. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh and having a good time. She was also a past member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 11 am to 12 noon, where funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in Bridgeport Cemetery.
