Obituary for Roberta Mae Marple (Grant)

Roberta Mae Marple, 80, of Indian Run, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 26, 1937 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Sherman Grant and Eva McNemar Grant.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edwin Marple, Jr., whom she married on December 4, 1954
She is also survived by two children, Susan Jane Marple of Sistersville and James Edwin Marple and his fiancee Anna Morgan of Salem; four grandchildren, Jenny Dotson, Crystal Blake, Kelsie Marple and James R. Marple; ten great grandchildren, Joshua Dotson, Jessica Dotson, Tessa Holley, Destiny, Neleh, Lilly, Maggie, Daisy, Lydia and Addilynn Blake; one great great grandson, Xavier Holley; one brother, James Grant and one sister, Mary Dotson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one brother, Todd Grant
Roberta attended Bristol High School and also attended Coplin United Methodist Church. She enjoyed deer hunting, raising German Shepherds, reclaiming furniture, sewing and building doll houses. Roberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Coplin Cemetery at 1:00 pm with Reverend Etheldean Yanero presiding.
