The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Bowers can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: To Donna and family, our deepest sympathy. Wishing you comfort in the beautiful memories of Dave. We met Dave and Donna at one of the National TDC, (more affectionately known to Yellow Freight Drivers as the annual family reunion) where Dave was a pillar of support for other drivers, always there to give advice and encouragement. A mentor to all. Dave wouldn't hesitate to speak of family, friends or to share a funny story. I'm certain Dave is still turning tires, burning fuel, teaching safety and telling stories. He was taken much to early to have stopped doing something he was so gifted at.

Condolence: To the Bowers Family.
I am so sorry to have read of the passing of David. While he was driving for Yellow Freight He did the pick ups for the company I worked for. He always had a minute to spare to pass the time of day and always had a joke or two to pass along to us. My prayers and sympathy goes out to the family in this most difficult time.

Condolence: Donna and the rest of Dave's family, our hearts are with you. Keep thinking of the happy memories that you shared with Dave and he'll always be with you. We were all blessed to have him in our lives for a time, and he never left us without his smile. I involuntarily smile every time I think of him. He had a mischievous sense of humor and our Road Team assignments were always a blast when we worked with Dave. Know that his safety messages reached hundreds of thousands of people over the years and undoubtedly saved many lives. Mostly he will be remembered as that happy guy who helped anyone with anything they needed. He was a great mentor to many and had a kind heart. We all know that he's resting well now, as God had open arms waiting.

Condolence: David you have touched so many people with your words and wisdom and will be missed by all. It was my honor to have meet someone like you and I don't remember a single day when we were together that wonderful smile and how you... even if it was a bad day had a way if making it better. You are and always will be a "ROADTEAM CAPTAIN" where you made our Highways Safer. Now you are on the "Highway to Heaven" paving the way for the rest of us. God Bless you my friend and may he watch over and take care of your family!

Condolence: David was such a happy and jovial guy and it was always such a pleasure to be around him. A mentor, a driver, a husband, a friend. He wore all of the hats that make each of us what we are and he did them well. We will miss you! Blessings to his family.
