The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Karen Strother can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dave, Tracy and Lisa: My heart breaks for all of you! Karen was like a second mom to me throughout my childhood! Even though I lived right behind you, it felt as though our yards and homes were one. Karen was my first babysitter and throughout the years the Strother’s were my second family. You always included me in your family vacations and I felt like your 3rd daughter. I often wonder how many hours we spent sitting around the kitchen table just laughing, talking and doing nothing. I am grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful family and will never forget Karen’s kindness and generosity. I am a better person because of her. My love, thoughts and prayers are with all of you-Shannon.
