Obituary for Charity Annette Hebb
Charity Day Crawley Hebb, 97, of Meadland Road, Bridgeport, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018. She was born in Clarksburg on December 25, 1920, a daughter of the late Claude A. Day and Eva Britton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hercel H. Hebb, on September 19, 2002.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Crawley and his wife Diann, Bridgeport.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Bernice Day, Dorothy Day, and Mildred Day.
Charity had worked as a credit manager at Montgomery Ward with over 25 years of service. She was an active member of Middleville Baptist Church, where she played the piano for years, and was active in the community. She loved to read and spoil her pets. She enjoyed following WVU and local sports teams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Humane Society of Harrison County, P.O. Box 4397, Clarksburg, WV 26302.
Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home , 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Tuesday from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday with Pastor Paul Boyles presiding. Interment will follow in Bridgeport Cemetery.
