Obituary for Forest Jesse Nicholson
Forest J. Nicholson, 88, of Seth Street in Jane Lew, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 in the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg. He was born on February 20, 1929 in Coldwater, WV, a son of the late Lewis Edward Nicholson and Ethel Cox Nicholson.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, JoAnn Hannah Nicholson, whom he married on October 17, 1964.
He is survived by his nephew, Robert Nicholson and niece, Mary Ellen Davidson, both from Minnesota. Also surviving is his brother-in-law & wife, Steve & Dinah Hannah from Jane Lew.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mansfield Nicholson, Meredith Nicholson and Monroe Nicholson.
Mr. Nicholson was a veteran of the United States Army and was a self-employed barber for many years in Bridgeport, at the Nicholson Barber Shop & also in Florida. He & his wife lived several years in Florida before returning home to the state they loved. While there they enjoyed going to the flea markets.
Graveside services will be conducted at Bridgeport Cemetery on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Bill Coffindaffer presiding.
