Obituary for Kevin Hunter Everly

Kevin Hunter Everly, 56, of Shinnston, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Bridgeport. He was born on September 21, 1961 in Waynesburg, PA a son of Mary Lou Everly of Headlee Heights, PA and the late Sherdel Titus Everly.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Scarlett Davis Everly whom he married on February 14, 1999.
He is also survived by their daughter, Cassandra Hope Everly; one sister, Dr. Vicki Lynn Everly and her husband Dr. Lee B. Smith of Cheat Lake; one niece, Jodie Gashie Hartley and her husband Curtis; and one great niece, Prudence Lou Hartley.
Kevin was a graduate of Mapletown High School and holds multiple regents degrees from West Virginia University. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy. Kevin was a voracious reader, enjoying classics, biographies, science fiction, and comic books. He was into music and enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed making pinewood derby cars with his daughter Cassie and enjoyed trap shooting with his dad. Kevin also enjoyed going camping with his family and was also one of the caregivers for his mother. Kevin was a beloved husband and father and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rob Church medical expenses GoFund me account.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 6-8 pm . Following the visitation, Kevin will be cremated and there will be no other services scheduled.
