Obituary for Roger Lee Cottrill

Roger Lee Cottrill, 69, of West Milford passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 20, 1948 in Doddridge County, a son of the late Lloyd Cottrill and Tempest Cottrill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Cottrill who passed away on May 23, 2007.
He is survived by his companion, Chris Gonzalez of West Milford where he made his home.
He is survived by three daughters, Robin Frye and her husband John of Shinnston, Mary Lewis and her husband Kenny of Clarksburg and Cindy Smith and her husband Kevin of East View; two step daughters, Pam Hite of Clarksburg and Diane Cottrill and her companion LJ of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, William Frye, Jennifer Frye, Michelle Compton, John Frye, Aaron Frye, Annika Smith and Cody Smith; six step grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews; two special friends who he considered sons, Dalton and Travis.
In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Roger was a self-employed mechanic for many years retiring in 2016. His business was located beside the Lakeside Car wash near the lakes in Bridgeport. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR. He also enjoyed camping.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 10-11 am, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Stonewall Park Cemetery, Stonewood.
