Obituary for Bobby Glen Ball

Bobby Glen Ball, 76, of Cambria, passed away Tuesday evening May 1, 2018, at his residence. He was born in St. George, Tucker County, on August 29, 1941, the only son of the late Gay and Pearl (Strawderman) Ball.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary E. “Cookie” Ball. On June 22, 2010, he married Deanna (Keefover) Hanson, who survives.
Also surviving are his son, Marvin G. Ball and his wife Stefanie, Palmyra, PA; two grandchildren, Tucker Ball and his fiancée Megan Sheaffer, Palmyra, PA; and Jessica Smith and her husband Cameron, Plymouth Meeting, PA; two step-children, Kelly Currey and her companion Bill Kelley, Bridgeport; and Chris Currey, Lumberport; his step-grandchildren, Zachary, Breanna, Logan, Terry, Alexus, Dakota; Valerie White and her husband Jeff; Matthew Cox, Vance Cox, and Victoria Puccio; and 6 step-great-grandchildren. Four sisters, Vergie Rosier of St. George; Deloris Morral of Kerens; Sandra Coberly of Beverly; and Margaret Williams of Pifer Mountain; his mother-in-law, Caroll Keefover of Lumberport; and several nieces and nephews complete his family.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Glen Ball, Jr; two sisters, Mary Kisamore and Betty J. Godwin; and a step-daughter, LeAnna Currey.
Bobby retired from the Hershey Candy Factory in Hershey, PA, as a mechanic. Following his retirement, he returned to the WV mountains that he loved and owned and operated TJ’s produce in Parsons. He enjoyed going to auctions, hunting, and visiting his friends and buddies. He was a happy-go-lucky kind of guy, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, on Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 11 – 2 p.m., where services will be held at 2 p.m. with Reverend Bryant Bailey presiding. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
A celebration of Bobby's life will be held Monday evening, May 7, 2018, at 7 p.m. at First Church of Nazarene, 104 Cheat Valley Highway, Parsons, WV
