Obituary for Barbara Ann Tice (Mong)

Barbara Ann Mong Tice, 79, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on August 21, 1939 in Bellefonte, PA a daughter of the late John Mong and Pauline Dawson Mong.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, William M. Tice whom she married on June 7, 1959.
She is survived by two sons, Charles L. Tice and his wife Carloyn of Meadowbrook and Thomas M. Tice and his wife Michelle of Lost Creek; one daughter Tina A. Tice of Bridgeport; seven grandchildren, Janetta Tice and her Fiancee Ahlicea Byrd, Megan Coe and her husband Nathan, Jenesa Stonko and her fiancée Andy Klenk, Jordan Cain and her husband Tre, Travis Tice and his companion Sara Groves, Tyler Tice and his wife Nicki and Linsy Dockter; five great grandchildren, Matthew M. Tice, Adalyn Cain, Kinley Klenk, Kinsley Grove, and Cadence Dockter; and one sister Janet Peace of State College, PA; and her dog, Miranda.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one son Douglas W. Tice and one sister Shirley Rumberger.
Barbara was a graduate of Bellefonte High School in Bellefonte, PA and also the Clarksburg Beauty Academy. She was a hair dresser for Vogue and also for herself for many years. She was a member of the North View United Methodist Church and she was a part of many church related activities, Davis Bible Study, United Methodist Women and a prayer parent. She loved her church and her church family. She also enjoyed planting flowers, reading, crossword puzzles and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time with her neighbors and most of all, spending time with her family.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 2-8 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11:00 am with Reverend James Burroughs presiding.
