We offer a wide range
of services, from the traditional funeral service with burial or
entombment to the simpler services such as immediate
burial or cremation.
We are proud to be one of the most reasonably
priced funeral homes in the area. Many families find that after
comparing the prices and services at other area funeral homes,
Burnside Funeral Home is able to provide comparable services,
with excellent facilities and at a more reasonable cost than you will find
elsewhere.
Below, we have listed some of the most popular
choices for funeral services. This listing was put together to give
you a simple, bottom-line idea of the charges for our services. You
may obtain a copy of our general price list, which is
an itemized cost breakdown for all the services we provide at our
funeral home. You are welcome to call or stop by the funeral home
and we will gladly present one to you there.
Service Plan Options
Please note that the following choices do not include the costs for
merchandise items or other outside expenses related to the funeral
service, unless otherwise specified.

A. Traditional Services with One Day Viewing |
$3,995.00 |
Included
in our charges for the standard traditional funeral are the basic
services of the funeral director and staff; embalming, other
preparation of the deceased, and barbering or hairstyling as needed;
use of our facilities or another location for one day of visitation
followed on the next day by the funeral service; our automotive
equipment consisting of the funeral procession lead car, hearse,
flower vehicle, and, if requested, a standard sized Lincoln Town Car
that will transport our driver plus up to four (4) other
individuals; as well as our service tribute package including the
guest register book, memorial folders or prayers cards, acknowledgement cards,
a memorial candle and a supply of laminated obituaries.
Each additional full day of
viewing requested: $330.00
Additional evening (usually
2 hours) of viewing requested: $200.00

B. Modified Traditional Services with Visitation and
Services on Same Day |
$3,665.00 |
Includes all options of
selection “A.” However, instead of one full day of visitation, the funeral
service and visitation period are held on the same day. The
visitation period usually lasts 1 to 3 hours prior to the start of
the funeral service.

C. Immediate Burial |
$1,870.00 |
Includes the basic services of
the funeral director and staff, local transportation of the deceased
to funeral home from the place of death, shelter and care of the
deceased, hearse to cemetery and service vehicle.
Interment must take place within 36 hours or an embalming charge of
$475.00 will be applied.

D. Simple Cremation |
$1,995.00
|
Includes the basic services of
the funeral director and staff, local transportation of the deceased
to funeral home from place of death, and ultimately to the
crematory, procuring the death certificate, cost for medical
examiner’s cremation permit, crematory fees, a temporary urn for the
cremated remains and an alternative container used for the funeral
home’s transportation and handling of the deceased. If desired, we
can make arrangements to have the cremated remains interred in a
cemetery or mausoleum of your choice. Each cemetery may
have a charge for such services that are separate from the funeral
home’s charges for our professional services.

E. Cremation with Memorial Service |
$2,490.00 |
Includes all options of selection “D" plus a
memorial service to be held either in our funeral home,
and our service tribute package.
If
memorial service is held at a location other than our funeral home,
you may deduct $105.00 from this total charge.

F. Traditional One-Day Visitation and Funeral Service
Followed by Cremation |
$4,870.00 |
Includes all the options of
selection “A” plus a ceremonial cremation casket, our
service tribute package, a
temporary urn for the cremated remains, cost of medical examiner’s
cremation permit and crematory fees.

G. Modified Traditional Service Followed By Cremation |
$4,540.00 |
Includes all the options of
selection “B” plus a ceremonial cremation casket, our
service tribute package, a
temporary urn for the cremated remains, cost of medical examiner’s
cremation permit and crematory fees.
