Send condolences to the Young Family Martha Louise Young Martha Louise Witschey Young, 87, of S. Maplewood Drive, passed away Sunday evening, March 2, 2008. She was born in New Martinsville on September 21, 1920, a daughter of the late Lewis W. and Anna E. Schupbach Witschey. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ralph D. Young, whom she married January 17, 1942. Also surviving are three sons, David M. Young, Lansing, MI; James R. Young, Marion, OH; and Joseph M. Young, Jacksonville, FL; and one daughter, Mary M. Routson, San Francisco, CA; 2 grandchildren; and one sister, Edna M. Nieratko, Lansing, MI. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul E. Witschey, and a sister, Thelma E. Witschey. Martha was a graduate of Moundsville High School, Class of 1938. She was employed by Fostoria Glass Company in Moundsville, and later at Hartley’s Department Store, Fairmont, in the Jewelry Department, and Red Dot Pharmacy in Mannington. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Bridgeport. She loved music and played the piano and organ. Memorial contributions in memory of Martha may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, WV Chapter, 1299 Pineview Drive, Suite 3, Morgantown, WV 26505. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at 11 am at All Saints Catholic Church with Father Harry Cramer as Celebrant. Interment will follow in WV National Cemetery.
