Obituary for Robert C "Butch" Oldaker

Robert C. “Butch” Oldaker, 68, of Stonewood, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at United Hospital Center. He was born March 8, 1945, in Clarksburg, a son of Georgia (Shelhammer) Oldaker Sandy, who survives in Stonewood, and the late Robert Ray Oldaker.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sons, twin sons, Patrick Oldaker and his wife Cathy, Lamberts Run, and Michael Oldaker, Lamberts Run; two daughters, Alicia Nicole Robey and her husband Brian, Lumberport; Amber Murray and her husband Ken, North Carolina; his son, Tom Guadagno and his wife Jessica, Erie, PA; his former wife and the mother of his children Pat, Mike and Alicia, Betty Oldaker, Spelter; seven grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Amanda, Tiffany, Loria and Shawn Oldaker, Rylee and Grant Robey, and T.J. Guadagno, and a step-granddaughter, Paige. Two brothers, Eugene Oldaker and his wife Marlene, Clarksburg; Bobby Harbert and his wife Jessica, Edmonds, WA; two sisters, Barbara Ann George and her husband Ivan, Stonewood, and Brenda Morse and her husband Gene, OK; a special niece, JoEllen Glassey and her husband James; a special great-niece, Jewel Ann; and several other nieces and nephews; his companion, Karen Sue Poling, Stonewood; her daughter, Sandra Conley and her husband Todd, and their two children, Gavin and Allie.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Ray Oldaker.
Butch was a glass cutter at Adamston Flat Glass and a former car salesman. He was a devoted and active member of First Baptist Church of Nutter Fort, and loved reading his Bible. He enjoyed fishing, old cars, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, with Reverend Don Fowler presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
