Obituary for Ellis John Vincent, Sr.

Ellis John Vincent, Sr., 76, of Bridgeport, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013, in Clarksburg. He was born May 6, 1937, in Wolf Summit, a son of the late John Ellis Vincent and Lillie Isabel Thompson Vincent.
He is survived by his wife Maggie Chipps Vincent; three children, Deborah Vincent Hrubik and her husband John of Apple Valley, CA, Ellis “Jay” Vincent, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Bridgeport, and Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Hamilton of Ocean View, DE; his step-daughter, Peggy Jo Yates of Bridgeport; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and a sister, Lena Dofflemyer, Bridgeport.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Perkins, and two brothers, Ira Vincent and Earl Vincent.
Mr. Vincent was a retired pipe fitter with Union Carbide with 34 years of service. He has been retired for over 20 years and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was Methodist.

Private services will be held by the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Burnside Funeral Home, Bridgeport
