The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles Freeman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: David Faris
Condolence: Freeman family,

I was looking through the obituaries at Burnside Funeral Home, and noticed the passing of Charles.

My memories of Charles were of him frequently singing solos in the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksburg. My mom, the choir director there, often asked him to come to the church to sing. As you know, he had an absolutely beautiful voice, and was a wonderful Christian man standing behind that voice.

I know that it has been almost a year since you lost him, but I just wanted to express my condolences to your family at the loss of such a great man.

Condolence: Praying that God will give you the strength and courage needed at this most difficult time and remember that caring thoughts are with you. So sorry for your loss. Reflect on Christ promise, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He that exercises faith in me even though he dies Will Come To Life." (John 11:25) Even our enemy death will soon be no more, for Revelation 21:4 promises, "And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes and Death Will Be No More, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore..." With Deepest Sympathy, Regina Jones

Condolence: Uncle Charles, my uncle not by blood but by love. Odessa and I adopted one another's families years ago. Aunt Grace and Uncle Charles became my Aunt and Uncle. Jim and Pete became Mom and Dad to her. We were/are all connected by the bond of love.

I leave my heartfelt prayers for comfort and strength to all of those who love Uncle Charles. He will be missed. He was an extraordinary person - kind, thoughtful, loving, talented.

Now he is rejoicing in Heaven. His worldly cares are over. But, our hearts are saddened for the loss of him. May God comfort your heart.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the Charles Freeman family. I live in Florida and check the local newspaper daily. I opened the obituary section and immediately said, "I know that smile". Sure enough it was the most friendly person that worked at the bank. I have spoken to Charles hundreds and maybe thousands of times in my visits to the bank and other activities. I don't know any of the family but I was so impressed with this abituary and having known Charles, I just had to say something to the family. He was so unique and one of a kind that he will be missed by all that knew him. I'm priveledged to be one of those people as well as a fellow recipiant of the "University of Hard Knocks". God bless all of his family. Such an inspiration!!!
