Obituary for Anthony Michael "Tony" Nardo

Anthony “Tony” Nardo, 51, of Stonewood passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was born January 12, 1965 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Robert Nardo and Irene McCauley Nardo.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lynn Shepheard Nardo, whom he married on May 6, 2000.
He is also survived by his five children, Aaron Nardo, Jessica Nardo, Sarah Nardo, Rebekah Nardo and Zac Nardo; four grandchildren; one sister Angel Nardo and one half-brother Leonard Cunningham.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one half-sister Linda Bateman.
Tony was a graduate of South Harrison High School class of 1983 and attended Salem College where he played football for one semester. He was an Eagle Scout and from 1986-1988 was a professional wrestler on the WWE Circuit going by the wrestling name of “Moondog Spot.” Tony was also a Corrections Officer in Martin County Florida from 1989-1994. He was a member of the Salt and Light Southern Baptist Church where he served as a praise and worship leader. He was a firearms enthusiast and loved to go shooting.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 12 noon – 1:00 pm, where a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm with Pastor Don Knotts presiding.
