Condolence From: Courtney Coleman Prang
Condolence: The loss of our grandmother, Betty Ruth Moore Gill is felt more deeply than words can express. Gram Betts was more than a grandma to us, she was a confidante, a role model, a friend & a blessing unmatched. The quirkiest, sweetest, most creative, patient, loving, understanding, unique person I have ever known, spending time with her was always a highlight. She taught me a variety of songs, the notes on a piano, all about old movies & movie stars, how to properly boil an egg & crack/peel it without tearing the egg to shreds, all about writing: how to write poems, short stories & letters, party etiquette, how to make up a bed, how to apply makeup (just enough), paint nails, put curlers in, put an outfit together, the proper use & application of water color painting, paperdoll creating, crafting & card making & how to see the very best in people. Gram Betts thought of others before self & was a friend to all who knew her. She could make you feel like the most important person in a room full & she always had a way of comforting you if you were discouraged, homesick or sad. I will forever remember our many summers together where we laughed till our sides hurt, sang until we were hoarse, ate until we were stuffed & enjoyed every minute together feeling thankful for each other. People like Gram come along once in a lifetime & I am grateful God placed her in our lives to love, teach, inspire & encourage us. She loved God, her church, her family, her country, her community & friends. Never forgot a birthday or anniversary & never failed to tell us & show us how much we meant to her! Gone from this earth but soared off to Heaven to be with her Lord & her "buddy" our Grandpa Armin (Bud), we are joyful she is home safe but heartbroken that we'll no longer hear her laugh, feel her hugs or see her sweet smile. All our love & thanks to those who tenderly cared for her at The John Manchin Sr. Care Center in Fairmont, WV (especially Janie, Lisa, Deanna & Jackie) & those who came to minister & visit from St. Mark Lutheran Church in Clarksburg, WV. Your service was a blessing to her & all of us & we will be forever thankful for it. Continued love & prayers for Linda (Barry) Coleman, Donna (Warren) Hartley & AJ (Janie) Gill. Much love, - Courtney, Jim, Riley, Jaxson Armin, Olivia Ruth & Cullen
