The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Michael Zimniski can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: It was a pleasure Mike, thanks for sharing your stories and word of encouragement over the years. You will surely be missed! "When one man, for whatever reason, has the opportunity to lead an extraordinary life, he has no right to keep it to himself." - Jacques Cousteau

Condolence: May fond memories of your dear loved one bring you comfort during this hard time in your life. Look back on all the good memories you were able to have and smile at the fact that you were able to share these.  My heart and sympathies go out to you and your family.

Proverbs 10:7 The memory of the righteous one is due for a blessing."

Something that gives us great comfort is the Bible truth that death is not the dot or period at the end of a sentence, but rather the comma or pause because our dear loved ones will live again. We know that we will see our loved ones again because the beautiful promise recorded at Revelation 21:4 "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore."  What a truly special day so close at hand to be able to embrace our loved ones again!

Condolence: I was so very saddened to hear about Mike's passing, but there are smiles along with the tears that I have shed today. I worked with Zim on many Alcan projects and audits over the years, and I will be forever grateful to have had him as a teacher, mentor and friend. He taught me about leadership, about the importance of connecting with people, and the importance of being serious when you had to and having fun when you could. I know how much he loved you Suezanne, and I know that he will be missed by all that knew him. He may not always have been "politically correct", but I certainly loved him for the person he was and the friend that he became to this Canadian over the years.
