Obituary for Paul "Allen" Weese

Paul “Allen” Weese, 64, of Lost Creek, passed away on Thursday morning, May 18, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 30, 1952 in Petersburg, a son of Roberta Mae Harper Weese-Bennett of Riverton, WV and the late Paul Albert Weese.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lois Ann Davis Weese, whom he married on August 17, 1974.
He is also survived by his son, Scott Allen Weese and his wife Sarah of Imperial, PA and his daughter, Lori Ann Leary and her husband Matthew of Hurricane, WV; five grandchildren, Seth Weese, Sean Weese, Madison Leary, Emma Leary and Payton Leary; one brother, Terry Lee Weese and his wife Dorinda of Petersburg; and his sister, Shirley Ann Sherman of Maysville, WV.
Mr. Weese received his Bachelor’s degree in 1974 from West Virginia University in Agriculture and Forestry. He was employed with the United States Department of Agriculture for 25 years until his retirement. During that time he also ran his family farm. Allen was a member of the Southside Church of Christ and he also worked in the Chenoweth Ford garage and also Dominion and Mardon. He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing, helping friends, and remodeling and updating homes.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10 am his brother in Christ Dale Cochran presiding. Interment will be in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, WV at 2:00 pm.
