On October 15, 1971, she married Darrell Thomas Riley, who preceded her in death on July 11, 2015.
She is survived by her daughter, Velta Kennedy and her husband Paul, Bridgeport; four granddaughters, Katlyn Kennedy, Feona Kennedy, Sariah Kennedy and Maliyana Riley Myers; three siblings, Jimmie Bosley and his wife Bernita of North Ft. Myers, FL, Sharon Burgett and her husband Frank of Fredericksburg, OH and Debora Bosley of Gainesville, FL; and a brother-in-law, Gary Riley and his wife Kris, Alpharetta, GA.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Darrell Thomas Riley, II.
Mary was a former restaurant owner and a waitress, where she enjoyed working with and serving the public. She loved the fellowship waitressing provided while working at Ponderosa and Subway. She was very witty and made everyone laugh while serving her customers with a heart of gold. She also enjoyed owning her own business and making and selling her own gourmet mixes. She attended Living Water Church in Bridgeport and loved spending time with her pastor and church family, with whom she made three church mission trips to Jamaica, Haiti, and the Philippines. She loved cooking, gardening, and spending time with her fur baby Ellie, who she referred to as her best friend.
The family would like to give a special acknowledgement of thanks to her neighbor, Pete McMillion, who over the years has been a big help to Mary and Tom.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Harrison County Humane Society, PO Box 4397, Clarksburg, WV 26302.
At her request, no visitation or services will be held.
