Obituary for Jules Frederick Martin Sr.

Jules Frederick Martin, Sr., 89, of Clarksburg, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 23, 2018, in River Oaks Nursing Home. He was born November 27, 1928, in Clarksburg, a son of the late Howard C. and Alice Virginia (Jaumont) Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Alice M. (McGinnis) Martin, whom he married September 9, 1951.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jules Martin II and Raymond C. Martin, a daughter, Fredda Martin and her long-time companion Jeff Robey, all of Clarksburg; a granddaughter, Shannon Skinner, Barbour County; a grandson, Kevin Greynolds, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Amber, Alivia and Tre Abbott; and a sister, Nola McCall and her husband Jim of Lost Creek.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert A. Martin on July 8, 1970; and a granddaughter, Kimberly L. Martin on December 2, 2003.
Mr. Martin graduated from R-W High School in 1946 and served in the National Guard. He started working at Hazel-Atlas in March 1952 and retired from Anchor Hocking on October 31, 1987. He loved to read, especially westerns.
He was a loving husband and will be greatly missed by his wife and family.

There will be no viewing or services and Mr. Martin will be cremated. Memorial contributions can be given to those living that need help.
