Obituary for Kenneth Clyde "Kenny" Bennington

Kenneth C. “Kenny” Bennington, 78, of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Bridgeport. He was born on October 25, 1939 in Weston a son of the late Clyde Bennington and Madaline Warner Bennington.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Francis Bennington, whom he married on November 28, 1964.
He is also survived by one son, Kevin Bennington and his wife Heidi of Bridgeport and one daughter, Lisa Leggett of Parkersburg; four grandchildren Owen Bennington, Zack Tanner, Marci Poe and Maddi Leggett.
Kenny was a graduate of Weston High School and was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a supervisor with UCAR for 31 years until his retirement. He was president of the UCAR retirees. He also was involved with planning summer picnics and Christmas Luncheons. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing golf and also enjoyed camping.

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00 am with Pastor James Burrough presiding. Interment will follow in Peterson Cemetery, Weston with Military Honors by the Lewis County Honor Guard.
