Obituary for Helen Maxine Dennison (Bailey)

Helen M. Dennison, 86, of Wolf Summit, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, with her loving family by her side. She was born May 12, 1932, daughter of the late Harold G. Bailey and Forrest Lodema (Lacy) Bailey.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Willard Jack Dennison, whom she married April 13, 1951.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Willard Brian Dennison and his wife, Gloria, Wolf Summit, her daughter-in-law, Carol Darlene Dennison, Salem, special friend, Laurie Meyer, Wolf Summit, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Herrod and her husband Elden, Parkersburg; and a brother, Kenneth Bailey and his wife Elberta, Stonewood; sister-in-law, Estelle M. Bailey, Marshville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Randall F. Dennison and her daughter Jacqueline K. (Jackie) Dennison, and her brother, Delbert Bailey.
Helen was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1950. She retired from Harrison County School Board in 1997. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, caring and spending time with her family and friends. She was a mother to all and was very much loved by all who knew her. Helen was a member of the United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital and/or Marshville Baptist Church & Cemetery, c/o Rick Roberts, 155 Marion Heights Road, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
Friends will be at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2 – 7 p.m. on Sunday, where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 10, 2018, with Reverend Dustin McCune presiding. Interment will follow in Marshville Baptist Church Cemetery.
