Obituary for Karen Ann Renzelli (Krosmico)

Karen Ann Renzelli, 61, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Morgantown. She was born on July 23, 1957 in Clarksburg a daughter of the late Joseph Krosmico and Elizabeth (Zannino) Krosmico.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Frank Renzelli, whom she married on July 23, 1993.
She is also survived by their daughter, Elizabeth Claire Renzelli at home; sister Phyllis Lucas of Clarksburg; her mother-in-law Ann Renzelli of Bridgeport; two nieces, Lesley Patsy and her husband David Michael Patsy and their children, Lauren, Sophia and Gianna Patsy, her niece Meredith Postle and her son Sabin Postle; two brothers-in-law, Mike Renzelli and his wife Mary Lou of Clarksburg and their children, Anthony Roda Renzelli and Emily Renzelli and her husband Matt Rucker; PJ Renzelli; and her sister-in-law Connie LaRocca and her husband Joe and their children Joseph and Nicole LaRocca.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Joel Samuel Renzelli.
She was a 1975 graduate of Notre Dame High School and Fairmont State University with a Bachelors Degree in Education. She then received her Masters in Education from West Virginia University. She taught elementary school with the Harrison County Board for 33 years, where she retired in 2015. Even after her retirement she still enjoyed being a substitute teacher.
Karen was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved to pray and had a list of those she prayed for on a daily basis, and enjoyed her prayer groups. She enjoyed cheering and watching her daughter Elizabeth in sports. She also enjoyed watching the Lifetime Channel and reading spiritual material. She had a genuine joy and love for little children, which shone through in her teaching elementary school, Vacation Bible School and First Holy Communion classes.
In the end, she offered up her suffering for all those who were praying for her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital, Attn; Development Office, PO Box 8200 (ROC2), Morgantown, WV 26506.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 5-8 pm and again on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 2-8 pm. A Rosary service will be held on Monday beginning at 7:00 pm and a Vigil service at7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Clarksburg with Father Tim Grassi as Celebrant and Father Casey Mahone as Con-celebrant. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
