Obituary for W. Jeffrey Herron
W. Jeffrey Herron, 56, of Coon’s Run, Shinnston, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018. He was born on July 31, 1962, in Clarksburg, a son of the late James L. Herron and Betty Jean Emerson Herron.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lora (Knapp) Herron, whom he married on August 22, 1987.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by a son Jeffrey Dylan Herron and a daughter Jennifer Kristin Herron, both at home; his brother, James E. Herron and his wife Beth of Bridgeport; a nephew and a niece, James David “Bo” Herron and Allyson Herron and many cherished friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son Jonathon Herron, and his sister Rosemarie Herron.
He was known as the “Hotsy Man” having worked for Hotsy Equipment Company for over 30 years. He was dedicated to his job and loved people. He always believed that the customer always comes first. He was a member of Coon’s Run Baptist Church and he loved trains, his dogs and his cats. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 4 – 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 6, 2019, where a celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 6 p.m. with Reverend Sonny Palmer presiding.
