Obituary for Ilona Pat Harris
Ilona “Pat” Strader Harris, 72, of Bridgeport, passed away in Grafton on Monday evening, October 14, 2019, following an extended illness. She was born on November 16, 1946, in Tesla, WV a daughter of the late Telvie Howard Strader and Eloise Verna Hall Strader.
On May 22, 1965, she married James L. Harris, who passed away on November 24, 2000.
She is survived by her sister, Yvonne “Tiddle” Strader; a nephew, Travis Strader of Bridgeport;
a sister-in-law Charleyne Strader Chipps, Clarksburg; her aunt, Imogene Boggs, Diamond, OH; and her cousins, Debbie McCoy and her husband Tim and Sherril Bell, all of Ohio and Gary Collins of Hurricane, WV.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Brady Lee Strader.
Pat was a 1965 graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School and she was a member of Bridgeport United Methodist Church and she was a hair dresser for over 35 years, having worked at JC Penney’s. She enjoyed spending time with her sister “Tiddle” and going to movies and out to dinner.
Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport on Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 18, 2019, at 11:00 am with Pastor D.J. Hoff presiding. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Weston.
