Obituary for Helen Louise Ferguson (White)
Helen Louise White Ferguson, 91, of Fairmont and formerly of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020, in Fairmont. She was born on July 18, 1928, in Henryetta, OK a daughter of the late Caroline and Henry J. White.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William E. Ferguson; her sons, William E. Ferguson, II, and David R. Ferguson; three brothers, Hershel White and wife Nathalee, Ervin White and wife Maxine; Ray White; one sister, Thelma Black and husband Bill.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Jamie Ferguson of Fairmont; her grandson David Cody Ferguson of Los Angeles, CA; her granddaughter Cassie Ferguson Cockerhan and husband Chris of Williamstown; two great-grandchildren Alex and Daphne Helen Cockerhan of Williamstown; several nieces and nephews, being especially close to James and Barbara Ferguson, Joseph Ferguson, and Rayne White Maddux and her husband Doug.
Helen was a member of Simpson Creek Baptist Church. She was a life member of United Hospital Center Auxiliary and the Shining Stars of UHC, and had also volunteered for many years at Shepherd’s Corner. Helen had received her 50-year pin from Queen Esther No. 11, Order of Eastern Star. She was a hairdresser at Lucille’s Beauty Salon in Bridgeport.

Family and friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 11 a.m. -12 noon, where services will be held at 12 Noon with Dr. C. Michael Hopkins presiding. Interment will be in Bridgeport Cemetery.
