Larry H. Martin, 78, of Davenport, FL, and formerly of Bridgeport, passed away Friday morning, February 21, 2020, in Advent Health Center, Orlando, FL, following a brief illness. He was born in Harrison County on December 4, 1941, a son of the late James and Katherine Martin.

He is survived by his son, L. Scott Martin and his wife Tammy of West Milford; three grandchildren, Justin Scott Peck, Bridgeport; and Brandon Scott Martin and Jordan Nicole Martin, both of West Milford; and two great-grandchildren, Raylin Nichole and Addison Grace Peck, both of Bridgeport.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Ann Martin Peck on January 4, 2012; and his sister, Diane L. Martin on October 25, 2015.

Larry was the owner and operator of Larry H. Martin & Son Pipeline Contractor until 2004. He was a businessman and enjoyed talking to people. He was known as the “Silver Fox” and loved his children and grandchildren. He loved to be at the lake and enjoyed fishing, picnics, and family gatherings. He was a NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held in Bridgeport and will be announced at a later date.
